Abstract:
A first transmission mechanism 4 of a compound transmission 1 includes: an inner race 9; an outer race 10; a plurality of rolling bodies 11 provided so as to roll between the inner race 9 and the outer race 10; and an intermediate shaft 13 that engages with the rolling bodies 11 and transmits a rotary drive force to a second transmission mechanism 5. The second transmission mechanism 5 of the compound transmission 1 includes: a sun member 16 provided to the intermediate shaft 13; a planet member 17 that engages with the sun member 16; and an annular member 18 that engages with the planet member 17. A preload mechanism 14 of the compound transmission 1 is constituted by setting the diameter D1 of the rolling bodies 11 larger than a distance L1 between a contact point CP1 where the rolling bodies 11 contact a raceway surface 9a of the inner race 9 and a contact point CP2 where the rolling bodies 11 contact a raceway surface 10a of the outer race 10.
