Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable both bidirectional step-up operation and step-down operation between two DC power supplies, using one current sensor for controlling currents in respective phrases.SOLUTION: A multiphase power conversion circuit comprises: a first converter 1 and a second converter 2 connected with each other through inductors thereof in common thereto, provided in respective phases; a controller for performing a PWM control by determining a duty ratio dof an upper switch on the first converter 1 side and a duty ratio dof an upper switch on the second converter 2 side; and a current sensor 4 for providing a measured current imeasured at a common bus 1 a of the first converter 1 to the controller, The controller performs the PWM control on the converters 1 and 2 by: adjusting the duty ratios dand dto make a bidirectional step-up operation or a step-down operation between a connection side of the common bus 1a of the converter 1 and a connection side of a common bus 2a of the converter 2; as well as estimating a value of a current flowing in the inductor on the basis of the measured current isampled at timing determined according to a relationship between a waveform of a PWM controlled carrier wave of the first converter 1 and the duty ratio d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
