Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the estimation accuracy of the minimum film thickness of a photoreceptor.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus includes: a photoreceptor drum; a development unit 4; and a control unit provided with an arithmetic device which calculates the film thickness of an image carrier of the surface of the photoreceptor drum. The development unit 4 includes: a housing 48 which is provided with a supply port 47 for supplying a developer containing toner and a lubricant; a development roller 41; a first screw 42 which is arranged in parallel with the development roller 41 in the housing 48 for circulating the developer; and a second screw 43 which is arranged between the development roller 41 and the first screw 42 in the housing 48 for feeding the developer in the direction reverse to the feeding direction of the first screw 42. The arithmetic device calculates the film thickness of the image carrier on the basis of the amount of the developer supplied into the housing 48.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
