Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for displaying a stereoscopic virtual image more appropriately while maintaining visibility.SOLUTION: A virtual image display device 10 comprises: a projection unit 20 that includes a transmissive display 24 that generates display light by modulating illumination light and a driver 30 that rotates the display 24 to tilt the display 24 relative to the optical axis of the illumination light, and projects the display light onto a virtual image presentation plane to present a virtual image 50; an acquisition unit that acquires information for determining a rotation condition for the display 24; a determination unit that determines the rotation condition on the basis of the information acquired by the acquisition unit; and a drive control unit that controls the operation of the driver 30 on the basis of the determination made by the determination unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
