Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens that offers a wide view angle, a high zoom ratio, and superior optical performance over an entire zoom range, and to provide an image capturing device having the same.SOLUTION: A zoom lens comprises a positive first lens group configured to be stationary when zooming, a negative second lens group configured to move when zooming, a positive third lens group configured to move when zooming; and a positive R group configured to be stationary when zooming and located on the most image side, in order from the object side to the image side, and is configured such that a distance between each pair of adjacent lens groups changes while zooming. The R group consists of an R1 group having a surface on which a ratio of an axial ray height and a pupil paraxial ray height on a paraxial trace of an i-th lens of the R group from the object side satisfies a predetermined relationship, and an R2 group comprising the rest of the R group. The R1 group includes a positive lens and negative lens having partial dispersion ratios and Abbe numbers that satisfy a predefined relationship, and the R2 group includes a positive lens having a partial dispersion ratio, Abbe number, and focal length that satisfy a predefined relationship with a focal length of the R group. An average partial dispersion ratio and an average Abbe number of all the positive lenses and all the negative lenses of the R group are each set appropriately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
