PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary handrail that can adjust a height position of handrail part to an appropriate height position in accordance with a physical size, motion and the like of a user.SOLUTION: An auxiliary handrail 2 includes: a base 8; a first pillar part 14 and a second pillar part 16 erected on the base 8; a handrail part 18 bridged between the first pillar part 14 and the second pillar part 16 and detachably attached to the first pillar part 14 and the second pillar part 16 respectively; and an adjusting mechanism 20 for adjusting attachment positions of the handrail part 18 respectively to the first pillar part 14 and the second pillar part 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
