Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly identify the position of a recording element in an abnormal state in comparison to a case of predicting the position of the recording element in the abnormal state from the luminance change position.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus includes: an image formation unit which forms an image by a plurality of recording elements arrayed along a predetermined direction; a control unit which controls the image formation unit so as to form a detection image on a recording medium by driving each of the plurality of recording elements and form a reference image containing a marker image formed by the reference recording element and a code image expressing the position information of the reference recording element on the recording medium; a reading unit which reads the detection image and reference image formed on the recording medium; and an identification unit which detects recording element in the abnormal state and the position of the reference recording element on the basis of the reading result read by the reading unit, and identifies the position of the recording element in the abnormal state with the position of the reference recording element as the reference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
