Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lining method of a refractory at a bottom part in a converter, which can suppress wear of the refractory due to impact of scrap without causing stress concentration on a bottom-blown tuyere in the converter having the tuyere.SOLUTION: The lining method of a refractory at a bottom part in a converter having a bottom-blown tuyere is to provide a range for lining a high-strength refractory 24 in a part of a furnace bottom part 14 lined with a normal refractory 23. The high-strength refractory 24 is lined at least at the furnace bottom part which is damaged by collision of a charged scrap. On a straight line 25 connecting the center of the lining range of the high-strength refractory 24 and the center of a tuyere 13, the physical property values and the lining range of each refractory are determined so as to satisfy σ-σ
