Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum brake including a parking brake lever capable of suppressing occurrence of connection of an R bent portion and a cable end member, and suppressing increase in length in a projecting direction from the R bent portion, of a hooking plate portion.SOLUTION: In a drum brake 12, recesses 80 for receiving a part of a cable end member 64 are formed on both sides of an opening edge of a slit 74 opened to an inner side face of an R bent portion 70 of a parking brake lever 10, so that the cable end member 64 is locked on a tip end portion of the parking brake lever 10 in a state of receiving a part of an outer peripheral portion of an end portion on a pulling side of the parking brake cable 62 in the recesses 80. Thus, occurrence of connection of the cable end member 64 by the R bent portion 70 is suppressed, and increase in length in a projecting direction, from the R bent portion 70, of the locking plate portion 68 is suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
