PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake system capable of suppressing discomfort in brake operation time.SOLUTION: An ESC 16 supplies a liquid pressure (brake liquid pressure) according to an operation of a brake pedal 9 to disk brakes 5, 6 (calipers 5A, 6B) of respective wheels (respective front wheel 2, respective rear wheel 3). Rear wheel side disk brakes 6, 6 drive electric motors 7A, 7A, propel pistons 6D, 6D by a rotation linear motion member, and press and hold brake pads 6C, 6C to disk rotors 4, 4. A brake control device 17 for controlling the electric motors 7A, 7A controls the electric motors 7A, 7A of the rear wheel side disk brakes 6, 6 according to a liquid pressure failure state, when the liquid pressure failure to the disk brakes 5, 6 (calipers 5A, 6B) is detected in an operation time of the brake pedal 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
