Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochromic display element which maintains high transparency when decolored and is capable of displaying two types of information.SOLUTION: An electrochromic display element comprises a first substrate, a first electrode disposed on the first substrate, a second substrate disposed at a distance of the first electrode, a second electrode disposed on the second substrate, a first electrochromic layer disposed in contact with the first electrode, a second electrochromic layer disposed in contact with the second electrode, and an electrolyte layer disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. The first electrochromic layer and the second electrochromic layer both contain an electrochromic material that gets colored by oxidation reaction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
