Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient data transmission by two external devices that are connected by PCIe with a communication apparatus, without locating a system bus that the communication apparatus has.SOLUTION: A communication apparatus comprises a control unit that is connected to a system bus, which is connected to a memory, and performs predetermined processing, a plurality of PCIe transmitter-receiver circuits, and a bus changeover unit that has a local bas for performing data communication and functions as a bus master to the system bus. Each PCIe transmitter-receiver circuit has an address conversion unit, a first slave that receives a writing request to a register that holds information for transmitting and receiving, a first master that transmits received data to the bus changeover unit, and a second slave that receives transfer data from the bus changeover unit. Between the bus changeover unit and the plurality of PCIe transmitter-receiver circuits, the bus changeover unit has a second master that transmits data to the first slave, a third slave that receives transmission data from the PCIe transmitter-receiver circuit, and a third master that transmits transmission data from the transmitter-receiver circuit to outside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
