Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion accelerator, an adhesiveness improver capable of adding hydrophilicity and adhesiveness to a surface of various carbon materials with a simple method without need for technology and facility of specific dispersion or surface treatments and without deteriorating properties originally obtained by the carbon materials, and a surface modified carbon material and a carbon composite material having improved surface by using the adhesive improver.SOLUTION: A copolymer (A) containing 2-oxazoline-based monomer (a) of 1 to 90 mol% and a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic monomer (b) of 10 to 99 mol% as constitutional units has unique performance in dispersion acceleration of carbon materials into other kinds of materials and enhancement of surface adhesiveness of the carbon materials. There are provided a surface modified carbon material and various carbon composite materials having adhesiveness added, obtained by reacting various carbon materials by using an adhesiveness improver consisting of the copolymer. There is provided a dispersion accelerator for carbon materials where preferably the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic monomer (b) is vinyl pyrrolide and the carbon material is a carbon nanotube.SELECTED DRAWING: None
