Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a crude nickel sulfate solution by pressure-leaching a nickel matt with an autoclave, the method capable of minimizing an amount of sediment deposited on a stirring blade of the autoclave with no burden such as the installment of more equipment or changed equipment.SOLUTION: A method includes: a raw-material feeding step (S10) of feeding a slurry containing a nickel matt and an elemental sulfur into an autoclave; a stirring step (S20) of stirring the slurry fed under air atmosphere with the use of a stirring blade; and a pressure-leaching step (S30) of performing the pressure-leaching from the autoclave. Regarding the blending proportion between sulfur and nickel in the slurry to be fed into the autoclave in the raw-material feeding step (S10), a molar ratio of sulfur contained in the slurry (S/Ni) is defined in terms of (mole number of elemental sulfur + S mole number in the nickel matt)/Ni mole number in the nickel matt. The molar ratio of sulfur contained (S/Ni) is set to be 0.7 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
