Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety by properly urging a driver to hold a steering wheel without the sense of discomfort in consideration of the travel state of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A drive support control device of a vehicle detects the holding state of a steering wheel by a driver, counts the steering wheel non-holding time from the release of the steering wheel of the driver's hand, actuates warning control when the steering wheel non-holding time becomes equal to or greater than a preset threshold, but prohibits the actuation of the warning control when the deceleration stop of the own vehicle within the preset time is predicted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
