Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device which has improved fuel consumption and drivability while coasting.SOLUTION: An engine control device 100 for controlling an engine 10 mounted on a vehicle includes: intake air amount control means 12 for controlling an intake air amount of an engine; deceleration detection means 102 for detecting deceleration of a vehicle; and target rotation speed setting means for, during deceleration in a fuel cut state of the vehicle, setting a target rotation speed of an output shaft of the engine so as to gradually change at a rate of change according to the deceleration detected by the deceleration detection means. The intake air amount control means performs feedback control of the intake air amount of the engine so that the actual rotation speed of the output shaft of the engine during deceleration in the fuel cut state of the vehicle comes near to the target rotation speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
