Abstract:
To provide a recording device that is capable of starting feeding a subsequent sheet even when the rear end margin of the preceding sheet and the leading end margin of the subsequent sheet are unknown.SOLUTION: The invention includes: a feeding roller that feeds recording sheets loaded on the loading part; a transportation roller that transports a recording sheet fed by the feeding roller; a recording part that performs recording onto a recording sheet transported by the transportation roller; a transportation controlling part that can control the transportation of recording sheets in such a manner as the rear end of the preceding sheet, which is a recording sheet transported from the loading part earlier, and the leading end of the subsequent sheet, which is a recording sheet transported next from the loading part, are overlapping; and a determination part that determines whether or not to transport the subsequent sheet to the position facing the recording part while keeping the condition where the preceding sheet and the subsequent sheet are overlapping.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
