Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lactate oxidase different from known lactate oxidase, in particular, to provide lactate oxidase having high affinity for low concentration lactate, and to provide technology utilizing physicochemical properties of lactate oxidase.SOLUTION: A lactate oxidase has lactate oxidation activity and acts on L-lactate in the presence of oxygen to produce pyruvate and hydrogen peroxide, and has any of the following amino acid sequences (a) to (c). (a) An amino acid sequence indicated by sequence number 2. (b) The amino acid sequence indicated by sequence number 2 in which the amino acid sequence is modified to include at least one of an amino acid deletion, substitution, insertion and addition for one or multiple amino acids. (c) An amino acid sequence having at least 95% sequence identity as the amino acid sequence indicated by sequence number 2. Also provided are a large scale production technology of lactate oxidase by a genetic engineering method, a lactate measurement method utilizing lactate oxidase, a lactic acid sensor, and a biofuel cell.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
