Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a signal processing device and method, and a program that enable appropriate conversion of the dynamic range of an output signal.Upon receipt of a notification of detection of an output device from an HDMI interface, an information acquisition unit controls the HDMI interface to acquire output device information from the output device. On the basis of the output device information from the HDMI interface, a device type determination unit determines the type, the capability, and the like of the connected output device, and controls a dynamic range conversion unit in accordance with a result of the determination. The present disclosure can be applied to a signal output system that outputs signals, for example.
