Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method for a battery capable of performing satisfactory laser sealing.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a battery is provided for sealing an opening of a case in which an electrolyte is accommodated, with a sealing plate. The manufacturing method for the battery includes the steps of: fitting a rising part which protrudes closer to a top face of the sealing plate at an outer edge of the sealing plate, to an inner periphery of the opening of the case; forming a temporary fixing melting part for temporarily fixing the sealing plate to the case by melting a sidewall of the case and the rising part by irradiating a region where the case and the rising part are fitted, with a first laser beam in a side face direction of the case; and forming a seam melting part for welding an opening end of the case and an end of the rising part at a position separated from the temporary fixing melting part by melting the opening end of the case and the end of the rising part by irradiating the ends with a second laser beam.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
