Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reject FAX transmission and at the same time accept incoming calls intended for telephone conversation.SOLUTION: A line control system includes: a line control unit for receiving an incoming call from a telephone line; an incoming type determination unit for determining whether a type of the incoming call is a voice call or FAX communication; and a return unit for making a return call to a caller telephone number if the type of the incoming call is FAX communication. If a FAX signal is received from the caller after making the return call, the line control unit rejects an incoming call from the caller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
