Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel xenon flash lamp that does not deteriorate starting characteristics even if the diameter of a lamp light emitting portion is increased.SOLUTION: In a xenon flash lamp having a tubular light emitting tube in which an anode electrode and a cathode electrode are sealed and a trigger wire arranged along the outer circumferential surface of the light emitting tube, the cathode electrode is composed of a large diameter portion and an emitter portion fixed to the tip cross section of the large diameter portion, the trigger wire has a plurality of ring portion wires and a connecting portion wire that electrically connects the ring portion wires, one of the ring portion wires is positioned to surround the tip of the emitter portion, and the emitter portion is deviated outwardly in the radial direction in a section perpendicular to a lamp axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
