Abstract:
To provide a hoisting machine that can be stored in a hoistway without increasing a floor area of the hoistway and has a drip-proof performance and an elevator device including the hoisting machine.SOLUTION: An housing of the hoisting machine has a front surface in that one end part of a main shaft is fixed and the other end part of the main shaft is protruded and a rear surface opposite to the front surface. A rotor block is supported to be rotatable by the other end part of the main shaft. A sheave is provided on the rotor block. Brake devices are mounted on an upper part and a lower part of the housing to stop the rotation of the rotor block. The housing further includes a recessed part provided on the rear surface, an oil reservoir opened in the recessed part, and a drip-proof cover for covering the oil reservoir. The drip-proof cover is arranged in the recessed part of the housing with the size such that it is not protruded outside from the rear surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
