Abstract:
To provide a contact member capable of reducing resistance of connection to a mating member and capable of more reliably shifting to a state of noncontact with the mating member from a state of contact with the other member, a contact pair, and a contact opening/closing method.SOLUTION: A contact member includes: a contact body; a conductive part that is interposed in a molten state between the contact body and a mating member electrically connected to the contact body; a liquid material that is arranged in the state of contact with the conductive part and that includes a supporting electrolyte; and a voltage application part that changes surface tension of the conductive part in the molten state by providing a difference in potential between the conductive part in the molten state and the liquid material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
