Abstract:
To provide a wavelength sweeping light source realizing stable FDML operation by controlling the phase of the light propagating through a resonator according to resonator length change.SOLUTION: Reference light outputted from a laser light source 151 and modulated with a modulation frequency fis reflected on a dichroic mirror 155 and inputted from a fiber collimator 132 to a fiber ring. The reference light circulated the fiber ring is reflected on the dichroic mirror 155 and a polarization beam splitter 153 before entering a photodetector 156. When the optical path length of the fiber ring changes, intensity of the light of frequency f-, detected by the photodetector 156, also changes. A feedback controller 158 controls a fiber stretcher 180 so that the optical intensity of frequency fbecomes the reference intensity when the circulation cycle of the fiber ring matches the sweep period of a wavelength filter 130.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
