Abstract:
To provide a shift range switching device for a vehicle capable of suppressing a driver's shift range operation request from being not complied with as a command for electric power supply to an actuator of a shift-by-wire mechanism for abnormality diagnosis and a command for electric power supply to the actuator for actuator switching responsive to the driver's shift range operation interfere with each other.SOLUTION: In a shift range switching process as one embodiment of the present invention, an ECU 10 takes a diagnosis of abnormality on a power circuit on condition that a vehicle is traveling in a D-range mode, a hydraulic controller 9 controls, when a shift range operation detection part 2 detects an N range operation during the diagnosis of abnormality, an output state of a control valve 8b to place a T/M 20 in a power cutoff state, and an ACT 7 switches, after the diagnosis of abnormality is completed, the position of a manual valve 8a to a position corresponding to an N range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
