Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of relatively easily, industrially manufacturing a polymer to which a plurality of desired kinds of (meth)acrylic acid-based polymer chains are grafted.SOLUTION: There are provided a method for manufacturing a polymer to which 2 or more kinds of (meth)acrylic acid-based polymer chains are grafted by using a polymerization method in which an organic compound having a specific organic group having functions as a polymerization initiation group of a monomer, the monomer, and an iodine ion-containing compound are mixed and heated to initiate a radical polymerization accompanying a termination reaction from the organic group, initiating polymerization of a first monomer from a part of 2 or more organic groups existing in a molecule of the organic compound to obtain a polymer to which a first kind of polymer chain is grafted in a first process, and using a polymer in which the organic group remains in a part of a structure as an organic compound used in a second process and initiating polymerization of second monomer from the organic group, and conducting these operations in this order, and a polymer obtained by the method.SELECTED DRAWING: None
