Abstract:
To provide a coating material removal device capable of easily performing removal work of an insulation coating material and easily keeping constant the quality of a conductor cable after the removal of the insulation coating material, and a coating material removal method.SOLUTION: A coating material removal device comprises: a holding mold 2 which holds a conductor cable 8; a first cutting blade 3 and a second cutting blade 4 which are disposed oppositely while being separated in a thickness direction Z and freely movable in the thickness direction Z with respect to the holding mold 2; and a third cutting blade 5 disposed at a second position which is different from a first position that is a position where the first cutting blade 3 and the second cutting blade 4 are disposed, in a length direction and freely movable in the thickness direction Z with respect to the holding mold 2. The first cutting blade 3 and the second cutting blade 4 are configured to cut multiple enclosure parts 82A at the first position over a full circumference of each of multiple conductor wires, and the third cutting blade 5 is configured to cut a connection part 82B from the enclosure parts 82A at the second position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
