Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely enhance production rate of an oligomer component soluble in a reaction solvent when ethylene is oligomerized in a manufacturing method of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer using ethylene by oligomerizing ethylene.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of an ethylene copolymer conducting processes (1) and (2) sequentially or at same time. Processes (1): a manufacturing process of oligomer of ethylene in presence of Component A, (2) a manufacturing process of an ethylene copolymer by copolymerizing the oligomer and ethylene in presence of Component C. Component A: an olefin polymerization catalyst containing a ligand represented by the general formula (1) and transition metals of the Group 3 to 11 in Periodic table. Component (C): a Ziegler Natta catalyst or a metallocene catalyst.SELECTED DRAWING: None
