Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unnecessary warning operations.SOLUTION: In the case where the following vehicle is detected (S22: Yes), a rear warning ECU 10 determines that the following vehicle is in a passing operation of the own vehicle when following three conditions are satisfied: acceleration G1 in a longitudinal direction of the following vehicle is equal to or greater than a passing determination threshold G1ref (S24: Yes); acceleration G2 in a transverse direction of the following vehicle is equal to or greater than a passing determination threshold G2ref (S25: Yes); and an offset D being a distance where the following vehicle is deviated in a vehicle width direction of the own vehicle, is equal to or greater than a passing determination threshold Dref (S26: Yes). In the case where a determination is made that the following vehicle is in the passing operation of the own vehicle, the rear warning ECU 10 does not issue warning even when the following vehicle approaches the own vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
