Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection system that facilitates removal of air from a fuel passage, and a method for filling the fuel injection system with fuel.SOLUTION: A fuel injection system is installed in a vehicle, and comprises a fuel injection part that injects fuel to an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine, a control part that controls an amount of the fuel to be supplied to the fuel injection part, and a fuel pumping part that supplies the fuel to the control part. A fuel passage that connects the fuel pumping part and the control part comprises a switching part that switches between a first state in which the control part is made to communicate with the fuel pumping part and a second state in which the control part is made to communicate with the outside of the fuel passage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
