Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a secondary battery arranged so as to be able to retain the sealability against the movement of an electrolyte solution between battery cases; and a method for manufacturing a secondary battery.SOLUTION: A secondary battery has, in partition walls 12 for marking off a plurality of battery cases adjacent to one another in a resin case made of a thermoplastic resin, through-holes 17 into which upper portions 15J and 16J for electrically connecting electrode plate groups in the battery cases are inserted. In the secondary battery, the upper portions 15J and 16J include connection-protruding portions 15A and 16A put in the through-holes, and ring containing portions 15B and 16B opposed to the corresponding partition wall 12 around the connection-protruding portions 15A and 16A, and arranged so that an O-ring 40 can be disposed between the partition wall 12 and itself. The two upper portions 15J and 16J opposed to each other with the partition wall 12 located therebetween serve to electrically connect the connection-protruding portions 15A and 16A in the through-hole 17; the O-ring 40 is disposed in only one ring containing portion 15B. The partition walls 12 each have a hardened portion 21 that is hardened further than the resin of the integrated battery cases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
