Abstract:
To provide a chip resistor manufacturing method with improved shape dimensional accuracy and microfabrication accuracy.SOLUTION: A chip resistor includes a substrate, a linear resistor film 20 formed on the substrate, and a plurality of conductor films 21 formed on the resistor film at regular intervals in a longitudinal direction of the resistor film. A plurality of regions with a constant interval where the conductor film is not formed are the plurality of regions to be trimmed in which the resistor film is partially exposed, and in the plurality of regions to be trimmed, a part of the resistor film that is linear and has the same resistance value within a certain interval is exposed as a resistor. In the chip resistor, the plurality of regions to be trimmed may be arranged in a matrix.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3A
