Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery module which can satisfactorily exhibit a battery performance regardless of a use state.SOLUTION: A battery module 1 comprises: an arranged body 2; and a restraining member 3 serving to apply a binding load to the arranged body 2 in an array direction D. The minimum load applied to the arranged body 2 by the restraining member 3 is set to a value equal to or larger than a load determined by addition of a battery cell-required load calculated based on the relation of a striction amount and a load for battery cells 11 and an additional load calculated based on a decrease ΔLa of the length La of the arranged body 2. The battery cell-required load is a load required for obtaining a striction amount enough to eliminate a clearance between electrodes of the battery cells 11 and between an electrode assembly 13 and a case 12 when assembling the restraining member 3 to the arranged body 2. The decrease is an amount of the maximum decrease from the length La at the time of assembling the restraining member 3 to the arranged body 2 in the case that the battery module 1 is used under a predetermined use condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
