Abstract:
To provide a lead storage battery arranged so that the decrease in electrolyte solution owing to vibration can be suppressed.SOLUTION: A lead storage battery comprises: an electrode plate group including a plurality of positive electrode plates and a plurality of negative electrode plates; an electrolyte solution in which the electrode plate group is immersed; a battery case 1 having a plurality of cell chambers 2 each for containing the electrode plate group and the electrolyte solution; and a composite lid 11 for covering an opening of the battery case 1. The composite lid 11 comprises: a lid body 13 covering the openings of the plurality of cell chambers 1 collectively, and including a plurality of liquid-pouring port caps 12a provided on the plurality of cell chambers 1; a top cover 14 covering the plurality of liquid-pouring port caps 12a collectively; an exhaust path 15 formed between the plurality of liquid-pouring port caps 12a and the top cover 14; and a gas outlet 16 in communication with the exhaust path 15. The plurality of liquid-pouring port caps 12a are each provided with a first ventilation-resistant part, and the gas outlet 16 is provided with a second ventilation-resistant part. A ventilation resistance R2 of the second ventilation-resistant part is larger than a ventilation resistance R1 of each first ventilation-resistant part provided in the plurality of liquid-pouring port cap 12a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
