Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical glass small in Abbe number (ν) and partial dispersion ratio (θg,F) and high in visible light transmittance while having refraction index (n) in a desired range at low cost.SOLUTION: The optical glass contains, by mass%, SiOcomponent of 10.0% to 40.0%, NbOcomponent of 5.0% to 50.0% and BaO component of 1.0% to 50.0%, has Abbe number (νd) of 25 to 35, and satisfies relationship of (-0.00162×νd+0.63622)≤(θg,F)≤(-0.00275×νd+0.68125) in a range of νd≤31 and a relationship of (-0.00162×νd+0.63622)≤(θg,F)≤(-0.00162×νd+0.64622) in a range of νd>31 between partial dispersion ratio (θg,F) and Abbe number (νd).
