Abstract:
To provide a dual ion battery having a high charge/discharge capacity and a long cycle life, especially a dual ion battery which has a long cycle life under a high-temperature environment and which is suppressed in the decrease in the charge/discharge capacity under a low-temperature environment.SOLUTION: A dual ion battery comprises: an electrolyte solution containing a nonaqueous solvent and an electrolyte salt dissolved in the nonaqueous solvent; a positive electrode containing a positive electrode active material capable of occluding and releasing an anion of the electrolyte salt; and a negative electrode containing a negative electrode active material capable of occluding and releasing a cation of the electrolyte salt. The positive electrode active material includes graphite. The negative electrode active material includes a spinel type lithium titanium oxide having a general formula represented by Li4Ti5O12. The electrolyte salt includes a lithium hexafluorophosphate and a tetrafluoroborate, in which the content of the tetrafluoroborate is within a range of 0.15 mol or more and 0.60 mol or less to 1 mol of the lithium hexafluorophosphate.SELECTED DRAWING: None
