Abstract:
To provide a water leakage detector for hot water storage type water heaters, with which it is possible to prevent the misdetection of condensed water by a water leakage detection sensor under a low temperature environment.SOLUTION: The water leakage detector for hot water storage type water heaters comprises: a leaking water pan for collecting leaking water or condensed water occurring in the inside of an outer case and provided on the bottom plate underside of an outer case that accommodates a hot water tank; a partition plate having a slit for halving the internal space of the leaking water pan and connecting the halved spaces; a drain water port for draining the leaking water and provided in a drain water room, out of two rooms halved by the partition plate, the bottom of which is lower than the other; a water leakage detection sensor for detecting that the stored leaking water or condensed water has reached a predetermined water level and provided in a leaking water storage room, out of the two rooms halved by the partition plate, the bottom of which is higher than the other; and a cover covering the water leakage sensor in the leaking water storage room and having a lower opening that opens facing the bottom face of the leaking water storage room.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
