Abstract:
To provide a cold rolling method for a metal band and a cold rolling facility for a metal band which can stably perform cold rolling without causing squeezing and fracturing after rolling, by grinding a metal band, a hard-to-roll material, according to crack depths in both end faces in a width direction of the metal band to form the metal band in a good shape over the whole length thereof, as well as a manufacturing method for a metal band.SOLUTION: The cold rolling method for a metal band includes: an end face measuring step (a step S1) of measuring crack depths in both end faces in a width direction of a metal band S; an end face grinding step (a step S2) of determining grinding amounts in both end faces in the width direction of the metal band S according to the crack depths measured in the end face measuring step and grinding both end faces in the width direction of the metal band S in the determined grinding amounts; and a cold rolling step (a step S3) of adjusting movement amounts in an axial direction of either of a work roll 6 and an intermediate roll according to the grinding amounts in the end face grinding step, and cold-rolling the metal band S by moving the either of the work roll 6 and the intermediate roll in the axial direction in the adjusted movement amounts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
