Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of more properly monitoring variation of absolute steering angle.SOLUTION: When IG (ignition) is off, a rotation angle sensor 52 is intermittently driven by being intermittently power-fed via an energization control section 70. The energization control section 70 intermittently power-feeds from a battery 80 to the rotation angle sensor 52 in a cycle of a period when a motor rotates 120°. An orthant detection section detects the phase of rotation angle of the motor by monitoring switching of coordinate orthants of Sin (sine) signal S and Cos (cosine) signal C in a Cartesian coordinate system. In an orthant detection section, a coordinate orthant is divided into three. The three orthants are 120°of even divisions. The orthant detection section determines into which orthant among three orthants the phase of rotation angle of the motor falls using the combination of a high level signal and a low level signal generated by a comparator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
