Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial satellite capable of applying light only to a specific region.SOLUTION: An artificial satellite includes a light source unit, an optical axis changing unit, and a control unit. The light source unit is configured to be able to generate laser of a visible region wavelength. The optical axis changing unit is configured to be able to change the direction of an optical axis of the light source unit. The control unit is configured to be able to drive the optical axis changing unit such that the laser generated by the light source unit will be incident in a prescribed irradiation region on an orbit. The artificial satellite can apply light only to a specific region using a laser.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
