Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a carbon fiber ceramics capable of being manufactured without the loss of carbon fibers and even by use of relatively inexpensive facilities; capable of notably reducing the fuel cost so as to be able to be fired under lower temperatures and in a shorter time; having the quite excellent non-thermal conductivity, heat resistance, lightness and easy processing; and capable of effective reuse of the recycled carbon fibers.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a carbon fiber ceramics has a mixing/agitating/dispersing step (a) for mixing/agitating carbon fibers 2, a frit, a ceramic raw material 3 and water 4, thereby forming a slurry in which the carbon fibers 2 are dispersed; a coagulating/precipitating step for coagulating and precipitating the carbon fibers 2, the frit and the ceramic raw material 3 in the slurry; a dehydrating step (b) for removing the water 4; a molding step for molding the mixture of the carbon fibers, the frit and the ceramic raw material 3; a drying step (c) for drying a molded body 5 of the mixture of the carbon fibers 2, the frit and the ceramic raw material 3; and a firing step for firing the molded body 5 of the dried mixture of the carbon fibers 2, the frit and the ceramic raw material 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
