Abstract:
To secure reliability by reducing stress of a power amplifier even if an antenna base enters a short-circuit state.SOLUTION: A digital amplitude modulation device according to an embodiment is configured to perform power amplification of a carrier signal based upon an audio signal input from a front stage and then supplies the resulting signal to a load connected as a rear stage, and comprises: an amplitude modulation part which has a plurality of power amplifiers connected in parallel and performs the amplitude modulation of the carrier signal; and a phase adjustment part which receives, as input, the output of the amplitude modulation part and performs phase adjustment on the received output of the amplitude modulation part and outputs the phase-adjusted output to the load. The phase adjustment part outputs the signal to the load after performing the phase adjustment so that apparent impedance of the load at an output end of the amplitude modulation part when actual impedance of the load becomes lower than usual is higher than usual.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
