Abstract:
According to the present invention, a first multivariable analysis processing unit (24) executes, for each sample, a first step PLS regression analysis by taking, as an explanatory variable, mass spectral data obtained for each of a plurality of measurement points in a measurement area and by taking, as an explained variable, a pixel value of a pixel corresponding to each measurement point in a fluorescent image obtained by fluorescence-labeling and capturing an image of a specific compound, and obtains a regression coefficient matrix. A second multivariable analysis processing unit (25) executes a second step PLS regression analysis by taking, as an explanatory variable, a result obtained by integrating a plurality of one-dimensional regression coefficient matrices obtained for a plurality of samples and by taking, as an explained variable, information indicating the severity of cancer in each sample as information indicating a state of each sample, and obtains a regression coefficient matrix again. Accordingly, new information, which is hard to obtain in a conventional manner, can be acquired, the new information including information that pertains to a compound or the like indicating a change in amount according to the severity of cancer among compounds indicating a distribution similar to that of the specific compound on the fluorescent image.
