Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to visually confirm the state that an electric power source for a servo motor of a coating robot is switched ON while assuring safety in a coating booth.SOLUTION: A coating robot comprises: a robot body 2; a controller 3 for controlling operation of the robot body 2; a teaching pendent 4 for performing teaching of a coating locus of the robot body 2; light-emitting means 12 provided on the robot body 2; and light supply means 14 for sending an optical signal to the light-emitting means 12, in which a light source 13 of the light supply means 14 is located outside of a coating booth. According to this robot, in the case that a servo-on switch is pushed by the teaching pendent 4, whereby an electric power source for a servo motor of the robot body 2 is switched on when teaching, the optical signal is sent to the light-emitting means 12 from the light supply means 14 thereby causing the light-emitting means 12 to emit light, and thus, it can be visually confirmed that the electric power source for the servo motor of the robot body 2 is switched on.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
