Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity information processing device and program that enable a non-bar-coded commodity to be easily registered.SOLUTION: For a commodity (bar-coded commodity) having a bar code assigned thereto, a first registration part (first registration means) registers the commodity. On the other hand, for a commodity (non-bar-coded commodity) not having a bar code assigned thereto, an input part (input means) allows a character string (reading kana or spelling) representing a classification name of the commodity or name of the commodity to be input. Then, a retrieval part (retrieval means) retrieves commodities including the character string input by the input part from a commodity database in which character strings of classification names or names of respective commodities have been registered. Further, a selection part (selection means) causes a commodity to be selected from among the commodities retrieved by the retrieval part, and a second registration part (second registration means) registers the commodity selected by the selection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
