Abstract:
The present invention provides a glass for a near-infrared absorption filter which is excellent in transmission characteristics of visible light and excellent in polishing workability. A glass for a near-infrared absorption filter is characterized by having at least P2O5: 65.0% or more and 75.0% or less, and Al2O3: 10.0% or more and 16.0% or less by mass%; B2O3: 1.5% or more and 7.0% or less, Li2O: 1.0% or more and 3.5% or less, and K2O: 2.0% or more and 10.0% or less; R12O: 7.0% or more and 13.5% or less; MgO: 0.5% or more and 6.0% or less, and R2O: 0.5% or more and 6.0% or less. The externaladdition ratio contains 4.5% or more and 9.0% or less of CuO. And when R12O/CuO is set to x, Al2O3/R12O is set to y, and Al2O3/(P2O5+B2O3) is set to z, 0.78<=x<=3.00, 0.74<=y<=2.29, 0.12<=z<=0.24.
