Abstract:
To reduce impact generated in a cask.SOLUTION: In a buffer structure 8a, at least one region of an outer peripheral section of a buffer bottom section 83 and a buffer side section 84 includes an initial breaking part 85 and a subsequent breaking section 86. The initial breaking section 85 is a region that is dispersed all over an entire circumference of at least one of the regions and is broken by initially generating a stress concentration in the vicinity of an impact load section (for example, a portion that is first brought into contact with the ground when falling) when being subjected to an impact force. The subsequent breaking section 86 is a region that is dispersed all over an entire periphery of the at least one of the regions and is destroyed following destruction of the initial breaking section 85 in the vicinity of the impact load section. As a result, it is possible to reduce acceleration acting on a cask 1 when the buffer structure 8 collides with the ground, and it is possible to reduce impact generated in the cask 1 when falling.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
