Abstract:
To provide a coated abrasive particle capable of enhancing an interfacial adhesion between an abrasion particle and a resin as a base material for enhancing abrasive grain holding force of a tool for processing an abrasive grain (a grinder) by adding strength and electric and heat conductivity of a resin composite material.SOLUTION: A carbon nanotube (CNT) coated abrasive particle 4 has a CNT coating 7 constituted so that CNT8 is engaged on a surface of an abrasive grain 6, the abrasive grain has a functional group X in a surface side, the CNT8 has a functional group Y in a surface side, a chemical binding phase CL consisting of a chemical bond C having the functional group X, functional group Y as constitutional elements exists at a boundary surface of the CNT coating 7 and the abrasive grain 6. Further, it is preferable that a functional group Z forming a chemical bond with the resin material exists on an outermost surface of the CNT coated abrasive particle 4. It is preferably that the functional group Z is arranged on a surface via a copolymer. It is preferable that the copolymer contains a 2-oxazoline monomer (a).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
