Abstract:
To provide a seat belt device capable of improving occupant restraint performance by reducing burden on ribs while sufficiently restraining a waist of an occupant by webbing during a vehicle collision.SOLUTION: A three point type seat belt device 30 further includes: a first guide section which is fixed to a seat 25 or a vehicle body and guides the movement of a lower end of a buckle stay 50 to the vehicle front; and a lock mechanism which prevents the movement of the lower end of the buckle stay 50 to the vehicle front during a normal time. Locking of the locking mechanism is released when the restraint of a waist of an occupant by a waist belt 31B is completed and the movement of the lower end of the buckle stay 50 to the vehicle front is allowed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
